AMPLIFY is our flagship program and our biggest event of the year, where girls and women with disabilities (ages 5+) step into the spotlight to build confidence and self-advocacy skills. Through the three skill areas—Interview, Passion Presentation, and Introduction—participants share their stories and showcase what they love. Along the way, they’ll have a Miss Amazing Buddy by their side, rehearse for the stage, get pampered with hair and makeup. During the Final Show, all participants receive awards, and we’ll announce our queens for the upcoming year.
Who Can Participate?
Girls and women ages 5 and older who have an IEP, IPP, 504 plan, SSI, or a physician’s document proving disability are eligible to participate in Miss Amazing
Be a Buddy: Are you an attentive and supportive friend? Then you would make a perfect Miss Amazing Buddy! As a Buddy, you’ll guide a participant in Miss Amazing’s AMPLIFY program, serving as her friend and ally throughout the event. Buddies must be at least 14 years old and available for the entirety of the event.
Be a Right-Hand Man: Calling all helpful and supportive gentlemen! Right-hand Men are responsible for escorting participants in the AMPLIFY program onstage to receive their awards during the final show. This position is a perfect fit for boys and men with and without disabilities.
